
LAURA KALEMKARIAN
FIRST GRADE
Laura Kalemkarian has been teaching 1st Grade at FDCS since 2013. Her certification is in elementary education K-6 and she has a Masters of Education in Reading. She loves teaching 1st Grade and seeing how her students grow as readers.

BERNADETTE WALLS - MORGAN
VOLUNTEER
Since joining Frederick Douglass Christian School, Bernadette Walls-Morgan has consistently brought a passion and dedication to each day in her volunteer work. Your child will find his or her place right away in any activity lead by Walls-Morgan.

GENESIA MATTIA
SECOND GRADE
Genesia Mattia teaches 2nd Grade and earned her degree in Early Childhood Education with Special Education Certification from Neumann University. She loves teaching her students new skills and learning from them every day.

HOPE MARTIN
VOLUNTEER
Hope Martin has both a bright demeanor and colorful personality in her volunteer work with the children here at Frederick Douglass. Children that attend FDCS always look forward to the activities she manages.

DR. JANICE BOWDRE
PRINCIPAL
Amazingly energetic, driven and extremely qualified, Dr. Janice Bowdre has been an educator since her founding of FDCS in 1998. As Principle of Frederick Douglass, Dr. Bowdre oversees all day-to-day working and administration of the institution.

CHRISTIE THAWLEY
SCHOOL DIRECTOR
Christie Thawley provides administrative support at FDCS and oversees all details involving the various student sponsorship programs. Her enthusiasm and joy radiate throughout the halls of Frederick Douglass.

ANGEL BEAN
PRE-K
A former student of FDCS herself, Angel Bean has acted as an inspiration to both students and faculty alike in her educational achievements. Teaching the youngest of Frederick Douglass students, Angel exudes both competence and compassion in her position.

JUSTIN WHITE
KINDERGARTEN
The only Kindergarten teacher at FDCS, Mr. White has had a profound impact since his starting at the school in 2014. He has a passion for teaching and the molding of young mind and acts a strong role model for the children whom he teaches.
